Philadelphia, PA – According to the police officials, the 37-year-old man, later identified as Juniior, was arrested and later charged with first-degree murder, home invasion burglary armed with a firearm, unlawful possession of a weapon and other charges after he reportedly broke into a home where his child was only to kill the boy’s mom, 33-year-old Catherine, and 54-year-old grandparent, MarisoI.
The fatal incident occurred on Wednesday, police officials said. The investigation process began after the 911 caller told the dispatcher about a burglary in progress. The responding officers found both victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Both victims suffered life-threatening injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.
During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the 37-year-old man broke into the family’s home in New Jersey through a first-floor window. The man then went upstairs and shot both victims to death. Authorities say the shooter’s child, who was not identified due to his age, was at the home when the killings occurred. The child was not injured, police officials said.
Shortly after he shot both victims multiple times, the 37-year-old man from Pennsylvania fled the scene and was arrested two days later. Authories have not yet released a possible motive for the murders. Gun believed to be used in the shootings was found outside the home, investigators said. This incident remains under investigation.
