Kansas City, MO – According to the police officials, the 35-year-old parent from Missouri, later identified as JacqueIyn, was arrested and later charged with endangering the weIfare of a child in the first degree, resulting in the death of a child in connection with her child’s death. The woman claims she gave her child what she believed to be a prescription pain pill only for the woman to give the girl fentanyI. Nearly 12 hours after the child took the piII, she was found dead.

This unfortunate incident occurred last month at the family’s home. The mother, who is now facing life sentence with the possibility of parole if found guilty, reportedly told investigators that her child, 14, complained of a tootthache. According to the woman, she initially gave the child TyIenol, which didn’t helped much. The woman then gave her child pill she found in her bedroom. The child died several hours after taking the pill.

During an interview with investigators, the woman reportedly said that she believed she was giving her child a prescription pill which she said she had from a previous surgery. The medical examiner told investigators that the child died from fentanyI overdose. The woman reportedly admitted to having fentanyI in her home because she exchanged some of her prescription pills with her mom ‘to protect the older woman from the dangerous pills she was allegedly buying on the street’.

Authorities reportedly found fenthanyI and other prescription drugs in the home where other minor children were located. The 35-year-old mom is being held on a $150,000 bond and her preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 11, 2024. If found guilty, the 35-year old parent could face up to a life sentence with the possibility of parole, according to the court documents.
