Kansas City, MO – The 43-year-old Missouri man, A. Mossby, was taken into custody and later charged with multiple charges, including first-degree murder, kidnapping and several counts of armed criminal action in connection with Wednesday’s fatal incident which left 37-year-old Missouri woman dead. The victim, MicheIIe, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. During the investigation process, authorities discovered the victim and the shooter reportedly knew each other from before. The woman was shot to death several hours after she was abducted from her family home.
Around 11:07 a.m. Wednesday morning, authorities responded to the scene after the victim’s body was found. The woman suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was identified as MicheIIe, who was abducted in front of her house several hours before. During an interview with investigators, the victim’s sibling, later identified as Samanta, reportedly told investigators that her sister was sitting in the driver’s seat while a man with a mask was sitting on the passenger seat. When the duo left, the sibling tried to follow the vehicle only to stop her pursuit after claiming someone shot at her vehicle.
She stated that her sister then drove away with the masked man in the vehicle, while she followed with her two 15-year-old sons in her car. A yellow truck trailed closely behind her. The victim’s sister called the police but stopped pursuing her sister after the passenger in the victim’s SUV fired at her, shattering the driver’s side window of her car, according to police reports. Authorities did not specify when or where the victim and her armed passenger switched vehicles, but they noted that the victim was driven to at least three different banks in the yellow truck. Officers later discovered the victim’s vehicle, which contained a shell casing inside. Surveillance footage captured each of the bank transactions, showing the victim sitting in the back seat of the truck.
