Louisiana – A student at Booker T. Washington High School was arrested after making a social media post threatening to bring a handgun to school, according to CPSO Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.

Authorities received a tip on the morning of January 26 regarding 17-year-old Thomas Ross, who allegedly posted online that he planned to bring a firearm to campus.

Deputy Charles Daniels, the school resource officer, located Ross at the school and took him into custody.

After being read his Miranda rights, Ross admitted to making the social media post, officials said. He was arrested and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on a charge of terrorizing.

The case remains under investigation.
