Shreveport, LA – Shreveport Police responded to a 911 hang-up call at 557 Sally Ann Drive yesterday, which escalated into a dramatic confrontation between two women, complete with car disputes, a wrestling match, and a gunshot.
The incident began when Tasheena Bryant noticed a 2020 Nissan Versa and assumed it was hers. However, Charlesetta Casey was already sitting inside the car. Bryant, undeterred by this minor detail, opened the car door, reached across Casey, and tried to turn off the car and snatch the keys. The confrontation quickly turned physical, with the two women wrestling in the yard.
After the altercation, Bryant returned to her own home at 553 Sally Ann Drive, and Casey went inside hers, only to return moments later with a 9mm handgun. She fired a shot into the air, claiming she wanted to “scare” Bryant, after Bryant supposedly grabbed a knife in her doorway. The whereabouts of the bullet remain unknown.
Both women gave conflicting accounts of the events. Bryant admitted to opening Casey’s car door and attempting to take the keys, believing the car was hers. She also confirmed opening Casey’s front door but denied entering the house. As for the knife, Bryant explained she had grabbed it after Casey threatened to retrieve a gun.
Casey acknowledged firing the shot but insisted she only intended to scare Bryant, not cause harm. Despite her claim, she faces charges for the illegal use of a weapon, while Bryant was booked for unauthorized entry. Neither woman was injured in the confrontation.
