Louisiana – The Louisiana State Police Training Academy hosted its annual Retiree Day this week at the Joint Emergency Services Training Center, offering retired State Troopers and DPS Officers the opportunity to qualify with their handguns and renew their Concealed Handgun Permits through the Peace Officer Standards and Training Council.
Participants in the event enjoyed a breakfast provided by the LSP Training Academy, along with a chance to reconnect with former colleagues and current staff. Colonel Robert Hodges addressed the retirees, expressing gratitude for their years of dedicated service.
He was joined by Lt. Colonel Jody Hasselbeck and Lt. Colonel Cordell Williams, who welcomed the retired Troopers and Officers back to the training facility.
This special day was dedicated to honoring those who have devoted years of selfless service to the state of Louisiana, celebrating their commitment and sacrifices.
