Shreveport man arrested, charged with aggravated flight and multiple counts of possession following high-speed chase on Kennedy Drive

Shreveport, LA – According to the statement, Shreveport Police attempted to stop a vehicle in the 6100 block of Kennedy Drive.

The driver, later identified as Eric Gant, failed to pull over and instead attempted to flee, initiating a high-speed chase through the area.

The pursuit ended near Shreveport Drive and Campus Drive when police, with the assistance of K-9 Edy, were able to apprehend Gant.

Gant is now facing one count of aggravated flight and multiple counts of possession of Schedule I & II narcotics.

During the incident, one officer sustained minor injuries but is expected to recover.

Shreveport Police are reminding the public that fleeing from law enforcement only results in more severe consequences.
