Florida – A Florida boy was sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty as an adult to se-ual assault by someone under 18 years toward a victim over the age of 12 and burglary of a dwelling with battery. The 15-year-old, Jessy, was also sentenced to 30 years of se* offender probation in connection with the last year’s incident which left elderly woman beaten and se-ually assaulted.

According to the court documents, in June 2024, the 91-year-old woman woke up around midnight and saw someone sneaking through her home. Moments later, the 14-year-old brutally attacked the much older woman, seriously injuring her.

According to authorities, the defendant committed the brutal attack towards an elderly woman who had previously been so good to him. Prosecutors released a statement, saying the victim ‘only ever showed him loving kindness throughout his time living in the neighborhood with her’ and considered the boy to be her friend.

Shortly after attacking the elderly woman, the defendant reportedly grabbed a pillow and covered her face so she couldn’t see him. The defendant then continued to restrain the victim after she was able to fight back. Authorities in Florida claim the defendant could’ve suffocated the elderly woman.

Shortly after beating and restraining her, the defendant reportedly acted with se-ual intent. According to the police officials the defendant was arrested after neighbor saw him riding his bike, wearing the same clothes he had on the night of the attack. Investigators said they used DNA evidence and results from a rape kit to confirm the defendant was, in fact, the person responsible for the crime.
