Boyfriend didn’t go to work because he wanted to see what his partner was doing while he was supposed to be there, only to get into argument with the woman and kill her in front of her child; convicted

Jacksonville, FL – According to the court documents, the 29-year-old man from Florida, Orestos, was found guilty of second-degree murder with a weapon after he reportedly killed his girIfriend four years ago. Prosecutors claim the defendant killed the woman while he was ordered to stay away from her because he was on pretriaI release for a pending domestic battery by stranguIation arrest.

The investigation process began in September 2020 after the 911 caller told the dispatcher that the defendant called them that his girIfriend reportedly stabbed herself. The unidentified witness then went to the victim’s home only to find the woman stabbed to death. Prosecutors also said the woman was stabbed in front of her child, who was not identified due to their age.

During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the defendant didn’t go to work on the fatal day. Prosecutors believe the 29-year-old man wanted to she what his girIfriend was doing. At some point, the defendant and the victim got into an argument which turned physical. According to the court documents, the defendant initially started choking the woman, but she was able to escape. Shortly after, the defendant grabbed a knife and stabbed the woman to death.

The medical examiner told investigators that the woman suffered stab wounds to the chest, stomach and legs. The responding officers reviewed surveillance footage and discovered that the man entered the victim’s residence that morning and left 10 minutes later. During the investigation process, authorities also discovered that the defendant told another woman that his ‘girIfriend had a knife and he had to stab her’.
