Wisconsin – A Wisconsin man, 52-year-old Stevin, is behind bars and later charged with first-degree reckless homicide after he reportedly shot his wife’s child to death while he was showing the boy his firearms because, according to the defendant, ‘it made him look cooI’. The 8-year-old child, MichaeI, was rushed to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The 52-year-old shooter, who reportedly admitted to the shooting, was covered in bIood when officers arrived on scene.

The fatal incident occurred last week at the family’s home. The investigation process began after the 911 caller told the dispatcher about shots fired at the residence. The responding officers found the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. The child was rushed to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The shooter, who was covered in bIood, told investigators that he did something very stupid and it wasn’t the child’s fault that he got shot, local news outlet WIFR reported.

During the investigation process, the shooter reportedly told investigators that he was showing the child his firearms ‘because it made him (52-year-old Stevin) look cool’. The defendant (SEE PHOTO) also told investigators that he removed a magazine from one of his firearms while thinking that the weapon won’t fire without the magazine inside it.

Shortly after, the defendant pointed the weapon at the child and pulled the trigger while expecting the firearm to click. The shooter, who also admitted to having several drinks of rum, reportedly admitted that this wasn’t the first time he points a weapon at his steps0n.

The victim’s family launched an online fundraiser to raise money for funeral expenses, which stated: “MicheaI, My son’s best friend passed away today from a very traumatic accident of a gunshot . Our family is heartbroken I want to try to help this family in anyway that I can. MichaeI was 8 years old & a bright funny boy! My son loved his friend. Please pray for this family during this difficult time. All funds raised will be going towards MichaeIs funeral arrangements.”
