Houston, TX – According to the mother, her 1-year-old child reportedly got sick, her face got swoIIen and she vomited later asfter she was polsoned on her first day at the day care. The young mom, JoceIyn, filed a lawsuit against the facility after her child reportedly got access to a vappe pen, which belonged to a worker at the center. The child later became sick, her face got swoIIen after the nlcotine polsoning caused persistent cough and vomiting.

This unfortunate incident occurred in January 2024 after the mother left her 1-year-old child for the first time in the day care center. The young mom claims her daughter could be polsoned by drugs in the device, but the employees chose to do nothing and remained silent. According to the lawsuit, the facility employees reportedly made the discovery when one of them returned and saw the child with the device in her hand. The employee also noticed that a smoke was coming out of the child’s nose and mouth, L&C reported.

The employee then called the other worker, who is also the owner of the device, and asked her. The owner took the device and put it in her jacker. The employee who made the discovery didn’t report this incident to her supervisors, because she was reportedly scared that she will get in trouble. The employee then lied to the child’s mom when she asked why her daughter’s face was swoIIen. The mother also claims that her child was treated by a doctor after she coughed severely all day  and even vomlted.

One week later, the day care center told the mother what actually happened, but they didn’t tell her what substance was in the smoking device. The owner of the smoking device was suspended before she quit. The outraged mom then called the authorities and said that her child’s life could’ve been jeopardised because the little toddler could’ve ingested 40 milligrams of nlcotine from the smoking device.
