Child, who was on her way to visit a friend at another building, dies after ‘child moIester’ followed the girl at a distance before stabbing her to death with a knife he bought at a nearby store

Jacksonville, FL – According to the police officials, the man who reportedly stabbed a child while she was on her way to visit a friend at another building was taken into custody and later identified as 28-year-old Jery. Police officials released a statement, saying that the suspect is now charged with first-degree murder for his role in the death of 13-year-old Rosie. 

The fatal incident occurred earlier this month, but the suspect was taken into custody on Thursday, court records say. Police officials discovered that the suspect reportedly stabbed the little girl before leaving her body in storage room. The child was also missing some clothes, police officials said. During the investigation process, authorities reportedly discovered that the child was on her way to visit a friend at another building when she was fatally stabbed by the 28-year-old man (SEE PHOTO). The victim’s friend, who was not identified due to her age, reportedly found the victim’s belongings in a staircase.

Then, the victim’s friend and family members reportedly started looking for the child only to find her fatally stabbed in a storage room. The child was rushed to the hospital only to be pronounced dead when she arrived. During the investigation process, authorities reportedly discovered that the 28-year-old suspect reportedly bought the knife at a nearby store. Video footage from surveillance cameras also showed the man following the child before he fatally stabbed her and left her body in a storage room. The 28-year-old suspect pleaded no contest in another, unrelated chiId abuse case three years go and was sentenced to 1 year in prison. 

The victim’s family launched a fundraiser to raise money for funeral expenses, which stated: “When we follow the friend to her apartment we saw the shoes there and the slides but she wasn’t there and we knock on the doors nobody answers we start checking everywhere until we found her in a little room dead. I call her name she wasn’t responding. We call 911 and we pull her out start CPR until medic get here and right on her chest there was a big hoIe she got stabbed and ra-ed and later taken to hospital they announced that she was found with obvious signs of trauma. She was rushed to the hospital but later died from her injuries.”
