Michigan – A Michigan mother was taken into custody and is now facing multiple charges after she reportedly left her children unattended and alone for years, while only bringing prepared food once a week and left it on the front porch. Authorities in Michigan reported that the children, boy, 15, and two girls, 12 and 13, lived alone for 5 years and survived on prepared food their mom or a person they didn’t know would deliver once a week. The woman, who was not officially identified by police, was id on social media as 34-year-old KeIIi, North Carolina Beat reported.
The boy, who was not identified due to his age, reportedly told investigators that he was in contact with the parent, but his siblings hadn’t seen the woman in years. The investigation process began last week after the landlord called 911 and told authorities that he was concerned about the residents because he had not heard from the mother since December and had not received rent for several months.
When officers arrived on scene, they witnessed something they had never seen before. According to the responding officers, the children lived in horrific conditions (SEE PHOTOS). The home was filled with trash, mold and human f-ces. The bathtub and toilets were overflowing with human f-ces. According to investigators, the mother didn’t left any toilet paper or personal hygiene products for the children. ‘It appeared that the children were unfamiliar with how to use personal hygiene items or know how to flush a toilet,’ the sheriff’s department said.

According to the police officials, the two girls didn’t have a mattress and reportedly slept on food boxes. The mother’s neighbors told investigators that they’ve seen the woman dropping things off at the house, but did not know children lived there. The 34-year-old woman is being held at the county jail, while the children have been placed in the custody of a relative by Child Protective Services.
