Seattle, WA – According to the statement, the 63-year-old man, later identified as John, and his girlfriend, later identified as Brenda, both from Washington, pleaded guilty to charges related to the death of their family member’s boyfriend. John admitted to first-degree murder, while Brenda pleaded guilty to manslaughter. Both were convicted on Thursday, court records showed.

The 19-year-old victim from Washington, whose name was withheld for privacy, was killed in 2020. The couple was arrested a year later. Investigators stated the pair falsely accused the victim of selling their daughter into a se* trafficking ring. However, there was no evidence of se* trafficking, according to authorities.

During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the defendant discovered where the victim would be so he waited for him to arrive before the kidnapped him and put him in the back of his car. Shortly after, he hit the victim with a concrete bIock before he grabbed a knife and stabbed him to death. The defendant then left the body in the trunk of the vehicle for 11 months. He then moved the car to a different location.

Witnesses discovered the body after they were looking something to get out of the car. Authorities apprehended the defendant’s partner after she confessed her involvement to a friend. Both are set for sentencing in two months. Prosecutors have recommended a 22-year prison term for the man and eight years for his partner.
