Nashville, TN – According to the police officials, the 35-year-old dad, later identified as Timmothy, was arrested and later charged with reckless homicide and other charges in connection with his baby’s death. The baby, who was not identified, reportedly died after the parent left her in the child seat before going to work, forgetting to leave her at the babysiter’s home while leaving the other two children.

According to the police officials, the other children were in the same vehicle when the fatal incident occurred. The father reportedly left both children at the babysiter’s home, but forgot the baby in the vehicle. The father even told authorities that he didn’t heard anything while driving to work. The investigation process began earlier this week after the father was seen driving fast by police officers. The responding officers then conducted a traffic stop only to realize that the father was holding his unresponsive baby.

The officers on scene attempted CPR before rushing the child to the hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead. During an interview with investigators, the father reportedly admitted to leaving the baby in his vehicle all day while he was working. The father also told investigators that the took his three youngest children to take them to the woman who was taking care of them while both his wife and him were working. The father then left the two children at the babysiter’s home, leaving the baby in the car seat and driving to work.

The parent also told authorities that he left his vehicle away from his work and walked for 15 minutes. He didn’t checked his car all day, until his wife called him and asked where their baby was. The baby’s mom reportedly told authorities that the babysiter messaged her that the baby was not brought to her, but the mother didn’t think anything of it because she assumed the girl had stayed home with their 15-year-old and 12-year-old daughters. Later that day, the mother called her daughters at home and asked about the baby, who reportedly told her that the child was not there.
