Gov. Landry signed an Executive Order detailing protocols for the display of flags across the State Capitol and public institutions

New Orleans, LA – According to the statement, the Order specifically outlines procedures for the U.S. flag, Louisiana flag, and the POW/MIA flag.

In his statement, Governor Landry emphasized the significance of these flags as symbols of freedom and hope both nationally and globally. He underscored Louisiana’s commitment to upholding the dignity and reverence due to these symbols.

“Flags like the U.S. flag and Louisiana flag represent our shared values and heritage,” Governor Landry remarked. “On this Flag Day and always, Louisiana proudly demonstrates its respect and pride in these symbols that embody our ideals.”

The Executive Order aims to ensure consistent and respectful display practices across Louisiana, honoring the importance of each flag in representing our state and country’s principles.
