Shreveport, LA – According to the state officials, the Critical Race Theory, which Governor Landry described as divisive, encourages students to view life through the lens of race and victimhood.

He emphasized that students should instead be learning about American exceptionalism and the constitutional principles that affirm the equal value of every individual.

Governor Landry expressed relief for parents and students as the school year began, stating, “Teaching children that they are either destined to be oppressed or oppressors based on their race and origin is wrong and has no place in our Louisiana classrooms.”

He voiced confidence in Dr. Brumley’s leadership of the education system, believing it would continue to prioritize American values and common-sense teachings.
