Louisiana Task Force 3 Urban Search & Rescue officially demobilized from South Carolina and returned home after successfully completing their mission

Shreveport, LA – According to the officials, the unit, which deployed on Friday, September 27, began their operations the following afternoon.

During their deployment, they conducted primary search and rescue operations and performed infrastructure assessments to assist victims affected by the disaster.

The task force’s mission required extensive planning and coordination across multiple departments, jurisdictions, and states, ensuring a rapid and effective response.

Their efforts demonstrate the importance of collaboration in achieving successful outcomes during critical situations.

The Louisiana Task Force 3 includes members from several agencies, including Caddo Parish Fire District Number 1, Caddo Fire District #4, Bossier City Fire Department, Pineville Fire, VA Fire, and the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal.

These agencies worked together during the deployment to provide essential services to South Carolina residents, a gesture of solidarity following their past assistance to Louisiana in times of need.

The Shreveport Fire Department expressed pride in the exceptional service its members provided, commending them for going above and beyond the traditional call of duty to assist others.
