Phoenix, AZ – According to the police officials, the 26-year-old man, later identified as Heln, was arrested and later charged with multiple charges, including first-degree murder after he beat his wife’s 2-year-old child to death. Police officials say the defendant killed the child by beating him to death because he was angry from a recent counseIing session. The man also told investigators that he took out his frustration and anger on the little boy ‘because he was a Iot’.
The fatal incident occurred last month, police officials said. The investigation process began after the man called 911 and told the dispatcher that his wife’s toddler was choking on a piece of fabric. First responders realized that the child had visible injuries on his neck and body and rushed the boy to the hospital. The child succumbed to his injuries several days later.
During an initial interview with investigators, the 26-year-old man reportedly said that he put the child for a sleep and went to the gym, which was in the same building. Just half an hour later, the man returned only to find his wife’s son lying on the ground. In a follow-up interview with investigators, the defendant reportedly admitted to being angry from a recent counseIing session and that he took out his frustration on the child.
When asked why, the man reportedly replied that ‘the 2-year-old child was a Iot’. The man also confessed to striking the child on the back of the had with an open hand nearly 2 dozen times. The man also admitted to picking the boy by his shirt and then throwing him only for the boy to hit his head on the headboard. He then left the boy and returned 30 minutes later only to find the child had difficulty breathing. The man then called the child’s mom and the authorities.
