Dallas, TEXAS – According to the court documents, the mom, later identified as Nicole, testified that her boyfriend, DanieI, beat her child, 5-year-old Dominic, on daily basis before he killed him. The mother was previously convicted of injury to a child causing serious bodily injury by omission and subsequently sentenced to a maximum of 15 years.
The mom’s boyfriend is now on trial on multiple charges, facing life in prison, and the victim’s mom agreed to testify against him. During the trial, the boy’s mom reportedly testified that her boyfriend threw her little son into a wall in 2021. The little boy then bounced off the wall and hit the floor. Shortly after the throwing, the boy threw up and died later that day.
The mom also testified that when she initially met her boyfriend, both parents were in charge of taking care of their own children. Unfortunately, when the couple moved from Florida to Texas, the boyfriend began beating the child because ‘his mom wasn’t doing enough to keep the boy in line.’
The victim’s mom also told prosecutors that her boyfriend would beat her son because the child wouldn’t answer right away, wouldn’t keep quiet, not eat his food fast enough and because sometimes he soiled himself. The mom also testified that at one day, her boyfriend punched her son in the jaw with closed fist, leaving the boy’s jaw uneven.
