Mom returned home only to find her child not breathing, later died, after her husband left the toddIer for several hours inside a car ‘because he didn’t want to wake her’; charged

Phoenix, AZ – According to the police officials, the 37-year-old dad, later identified as Chrris, was arrested and later charged with murder in connection with his 2-year-old child’s death. Police officials discovered that the toddIer’s mom came from work only to find her daughter in her husband’s vehicIe unresponsive. The mother, who works as a doctor in the local hospital, rushed the child to the ER only to be pronounced dead by hospital staff. During the investigation process, authorities reportedly discovered that the child’s dad reportedly left his daughter, Parkker, for nearly three hours before her mom found her unresponsive. 

The father is now charged with second-degree murder and chiId abuse. During an initial interview with investigators, the father reportedly claimed that he left the child in his vehicle for 30-60 minutes while he went inside. He also said that his daughter was sleeping in the vehicle, so he didn’t want to wake her up. So, he left the car and air condltion on and went inside their family home. The father also told investigators that he returned 30-60 minutes later and found his daughter not breathing. 

But, during the investigation process, authorities checked the security footage from the nearby houses and discovered that the child spent three hours in the father’s vehicle while the temperature outside was 111F. During the investigation process, authorities also discovered that the toddIer’s mom, 35-year-old Erikka, came home only to find her child not breathing. The woman performed CPR before first responders arrived on scene. The girl was pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital. 

Police officials released a statement, saying that investigators were granted a search warrant the night of the incident and conducted a thorough investigation. During the investigation, they obtained video surveillance from nearby residences and determined that the child had been in the vehicle for approximately 3 hours. This incident remains under investigation.
