Oklahoma City, OK – A Oklahoma mother, later identified as Ambler, was taken into custody and later charged with multiple charges, including child neglect, after she reportedly attempted to abandon her babies near a local store so she could go somewhere and be with someone. Police officials later discovered that the woman planned to leave the babies to visit someone for personal reasons. The woman was taken into custody after officers conducted a traffic stop on her vehicle following the 911 call from the store employee, only for the woman to admit to being under the influence of an unknown drug, NBC Montana reported.
The investigation process began after the store employee called 911 and told the dispatcher that a woman, who appeared to be very drunk, wanted to leave two babies. According to the witness, the woman reportedly opened the back door of her vehicle only to grab one of the babies by the arm and threw the baby to the ground. According to the witness, the woman pulled and threw the baby as if the child was a rag doll. The woman then attempted to get the second baby out when her passenger, unidentified male friend who reportedly knew the mother for several months, stepped outside and put the first baby back in the vehicle, local news outlet FOX25 reported.
During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the woman’s babies were 4 and 11-months-old. According to the witness, when the unidentified passenger placed the baby inside the vehicle, the mother reportedly drove away. Authorities were able to find the vehicle and conduct a traffic stop. During an interview with the responding officers, the mother reportedly admitted to drinking alcohol. The woman also told investigators that she attempted to call the babies’ dad to set up exchange, but couldn’t reach the man. The woman also told authorities in Oklahoma that she planned on leaving the children and sending their father pin of the location so he could pick them up.
During the interview, the woman also admitted to planing the leaving the children so she could go to another person’s house and have lntercourse. The woman’s passenger, who was not identified, told authorities that he knew the woman for several months and said the mother intended to leave the babies unattended. The unidentified man also said that he once saw the woman drink four shots of alcohol while both her babies were inside the vehicle. According to the police officials, the mother was so intoxicated, that she began to hallucinate and claimed her third child had jumped out of the car triggering a search. Dozen police vehicles searched the child for hours only to then discover that the child was safe with a family member.
