Houston, TX – The 25-year-old parent from Texas, R. Louise, who had remained a fugitive since the July incident and who had been living in California taken into custody earlier this month before being extradited back to Texas this week, court records say. The young mom now faces multiple charges, including abandoning/endangering a child after leaving her 1-year-old child all alone, without supervision and with two aggresive pets, so she could go see a met she met onIine.
The investigation process began in July this year after the woman’s neighbors called 911 and told the dispatcher that 1-year-old child was hanging out of a broken window and aggressive pets were trying to attack him. The responding officers discovered that the child was hanging out the window and the pet was charging at the neighbors, who were attempting to help the little boy. During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the child was left alone with two aggressive pets. The responding officers also stated that the child’s parent reportedly left the child without caretaker and closed all the doors, eve blocking the kitchen area and having deadbolts locked on the doors and windows.
Authorities then attempted to contact the young mother, who reportedly told them she went to a different city to meet a person she recently met online. The woman also claimed that she left her child with a babysitter, only for authorities to later discover that claim was false. During the investigation process, authorities contacted the alleged babysitter, who reportedly told them that the last time she took care of the woman’s child was in December last year. Authorities then told the parent to return to Texas, only for the woman to refuse and be arrested in a different state several months later.
Authorities also contacted the woman’s previous roommate, who reportedly told them that the young mother would often leave the baby unattended at night and sometimes not return until the next day. The unidentified woman also told investigators that the mother reportedly claimed her baby would sleep through the night and not wake up. The 1-year-old boy was placed into the custody of Child Protective Services, court records say.
