Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Fire Department has issued a call to action, reminding residents that safety is a shared responsibility, particularly for the community’s most vulnerable populations, including the elderly, disabled, and those with health concerns.

The department emphasized the importance of being vigilant and attentive to those who may require assistance, especially during emergencies. Officials encouraged residents to contact 911 if they suspect someone is in danger or in need of help, underscoring that it is always better to act cautiously when lives may be at risk.

“Our first responders are prepared to provide the necessary support to ensure everyone’s safety,” the department stated, adding that collective efforts can create a safer environment for all.

The Shreveport Fire Department also thanked the community for their role in fostering a culture of care and vigilance, highlighting how small actions and heightened awareness can make a life-saving difference.
