Shreveport, LA – According to the police officials, on October 4, 2024, Shreveport detectives began investigating a case involving a stolen skid steer and trailer. Fitzgerald had rented the equipment but failed to return it by the due date.
Using GPS tracking, SPD managed to locate the trailer in Fort Worth, Texas, though the skid steer remains missing after its GPS tracker powered down.
During the investigation, SPD Property Crimes detectives found that Fitzgerald has several outstanding warrants in multiple jurisdictions.
Currently, he faces an active warrant in Benton, Arkansas, for equipment theft. Additionally, he has been indicted by a grand jury in Tennessee for allegedly stealing equipment valued over $300,000, with further charges pending in Alabama for similar offenses.
Shreveport detectives have now issued a local warrant for Fitzgerald on the charge of Theft over $25,000. Due to his extensive criminal activity across multiple states, SPD considers Fitzgerald a significant risk and is requesting the public’s help to locate him.
