Philadelphia, PA – According tot he court documents, the 32-year-old man, later identified as Mohhn, reportedly shot his father to death earlier this year before removing his head with a kitchen knife and showing the body part to people online after he posted a video of himself. Last week, judge ruled that the son will stand trial after allegedly his dad. Prosecutors say the defendant will stand trial after Dr. Kelly testified that he appeared intelligent, calm, and socially appropriate during their two meetings.
Per reports, previously, Dr. John determined that the defendant had schizophrenia. But, last week, he changed the finding to delusional disorder, based primarily on letters where the defendant claimed to be the Messiah and said he was persecuted by the federal government. During an interview with investigators, the defendant reportedly said that the federal government was conspiring to kill him.
In January, the 32-year-old son grabbed a gun and shot his dad to death before grabbing a kitchen knife and removing his head. The man then posted a video of himself with the severed body part. During the hearing, psychologist hired by prosecutors said he suffered from depressive and anxiety disorders. But, in regular meetings, the defendant displayed none of the delusional behavior.
According to the court documents, prosecutors also claim that the defendant was in a clear state of mind when he planned and carried out the murder of his father, Michael. The defendant reportedly bought the weapon he used to kill his parent the day before the crime. Shortly after killing his dad, the defendant reportedly went to a National Guard Training Center, more than 100 miles from his home. Per reports, he reportedly hoped to mobilize troops at the base against the government.
