Shreveport, LA – Shreveport Police arrested Catreece Madison after she allegedly committed a string of thefts at the Youree Drive Target over the past year and a half.
Madison, previously unidentified and known as the “Fire Exit Lady,” reportedly exited the store through the fire exit after each theft, avoiding apprehension until recently.
According to authorities, Madison attempted to flee when officers arrived at Target, but she was quickly pursued, tased, and taken into custody.
Shreveport Police detectives had been investigating the case for months, connecting her to at least 21 separate thefts dating back to September 7, 2023. The stolen goods were valued at approximately $10,000.
Investigators also discovered that Madison had four prior theft convictions, including one during the period of her alleged crime spree.
Due to her status as a habitual offender, she was charged with 18 additional counts of felony theft.
