Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced that work on LA 82 from Dyson Road to 0.9 miles east of N. Island Road is set to begin on February 27, 2025.

The project will involve patching, milling, and overlay work. Motorists can expect alternating lane closures on LA 82 Eastbound and Westbound for the duration of the project.

These closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. A 10-foot width restriction will be in place for both the Eastbound and Westbound lanes throughout the project.

Lane closures are necessary for crews to perform patching and drainage work. Flaggers will be on-site to manage traffic flow.

R.E. Heidt Construction Co. is the contractor for the project, which is expected to be completed by mid-August 2025, weather permitting.
