Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Police Department reported that Elisa Maria Palma was arrested on March 24, 2026, after she allegedly stole a 2004 Toyota 4Runner and cash, along with a driver’s license, credit and debit cards, and an iPhone 11.

Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle call at Home Depot on East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, where Caddo Sheriff’s deputies had already detained Palma. Investigators said she allegedly attempted to ram another vehicle in the parking lot, forcing the driver to jump a curb to avoid being struck. Surveillance video reportedly captured the incident.

Authorities recovered the stolen items from inside the vehicle. Palma was booked into Shreveport City Jail on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, theft, and aggravated assault. Police said the case remains under investigation.
