Louisiana offers disaster loans to families and small businesses after winter storm

by Erica Knowles

Louisiana – Following last week’s severe winter storm, Governor John Landry announced that state and federal efforts are underway to assist Louisiana families and small businesses affected by the disaster.

“Louisiana families and small businesses were hit hard during this winter weather,” Gov. Landry said. “We have been working side by side with President Trump, Secretary Rollins, Administrator Loeffler, SBA Regional Administrator Justin Crossie, and our Louisiana delegation to ensure help gets to the people who need it most here in Louisiana.”

Small businesses impacted by the storm can now apply for SBA disaster loans to aid in recovery. Applications are available online at lending.sba.gov, with the deadline for submission set for November 2.

The disaster declaration covers 19 parishes in northeast Louisiana, including West Carroll Parish, Concordia Parish, and the Bossier and Caddo parishes.
