Newark, N.J. – According to the police officials, the 27-year-old mom, later identified as Naomy, was taken into custody and later charged with murder, possession of weapon and other charged after she killed her two children. Police officials said that shortly after killing her two children, 3 and 1, the mom called a private ambulance to help her children. The young mother, who according to her attorney, suffers from severe mental illness, reportedly killed her children for reIigious reasons.
During an interview with investigators, the 27-year-old mom reportedly confessed to killing her children. The mom also told investigators that shortly after she killed her children, she realized that she had done something bad and called a private ambulance. The woman also said ‘that she had problems with bad feelings several months ago’ while her 26-year-old husband went on a trip.
According to the police officials, the mom killed her children shortly after arriving home from the daycare, where she worked and her children attended. The mom believed that she needs to kill them for reIigious purposes. The mother reportedly told investigators that she ‘slightly punctured’ her 1-year-old daughter before placing her underwater for several minutes. Her other daughter then ran into the bathroom only to be placed underwater by her mom as well.
The woman also told investigators that she held her children underwater for a long time, to make sure she killed them. She also told investigators that ‘when she realized she had done something very bad, she called a private ambuIance.’ According to the court documents, the 27-year-old mom is being held without bail. Her attorney released a statement, saying that his client ‘has a well-documented history of severe mental illness, which has absolutely played a major role’ in this fatal incident.
