Massachusetts- A Massachusetts man was arrested earlier this week and charged with the murder of his prgnant girIfriend, KyIee. The victim, 18, had been reported missing earlier this month, after sending a chilling text to her sister stating that ‘If she dies, it was her partner’ following an argument with the defendant, 22-year-old G. Grom. Her remains were discovered on the defendant’s property nearly two weeks later.
Prior to the discovery of the victim’s body, the defendant had been charged with aggravated assault and battery on a pregnant person, domestic assault and battery, and intimidation of a witness in connection with an incident involving the victim on August 6, 2025. These charges were later upgraded to murder after investigators found human remains consistent with the victim’s on the defendant’s property. The remains were located approximately twenty yards from the site of the altercation, buried about five feet deep behind a shed.
During court proceedings, it was revealed that the defendant had confessed to fatally stabbing the pregnant woman multiple times with a large bIade and attempting to bury her body. The violence was so severe that a blade broke off inside her chest. The defendant has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is being held without bail.
The victim’s family expressed gratitude for the police’s hard work, noting that while the outcome is tragic, it brings much-needed closure. The victim’s sibIing said she had expressed concerns for her safety shortly before she went missing.
Police reported that the defendant was the last person to see the victim alive and later reported her missing on August 8.
At the time of her disappearance, the victim was 11 weeks pregnant and had recently graduated from a high school. The victim sister said the victim and the defendant had argued the day before she vanished.
“There was an altercation the night before she went missing, but that was the only incident,” she reportedly said. “We went out looking for her again the other day.” A local news outlet stated that the victim was in an on-again, off-again relationship with the defendant, who was the father of her unborn child.
Investigators revealed that the victim sent a message to her family member describing the incident, stating that the defendant had thrown her to the ground, pulled her hair, and strangled her, and added that her phone was almost without battery and, if anything happened to her, it was because of the man.
The case has highlighted issues of domestic violence and the importance of early intervention. Authorities urge individuals experiencing domestic violence to seek help and support from available resources.
