Los Angeles, CA – According to the police, the 37-year-old woman, later identified as JuIie, was arrested and is now facing multiple charges, including unlawful se-ual intercourse with a minor, oraI copuIation of a person under 18 and other charges after she abused her position of authority, power and trust to se-ually a student in the high school she was working in.

The investigation process began after the victim, who was not identified due to his age, told his parents about the assault. The victim’s parents then called the school and reported the incident to authorities. The police department now fears that there might potentially be other victims. It remains unclear what led to the counseIor abusing her position of authority, power and trust to se-ually assault the student.

During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the student advisor, who was working with students who need short or long-term academic support, se-ually abused the 16-year-old student for two months. Authorities believe the assaults occurred off campus. The woman, who worked at the school for 4 years and is no longer working there, is facing 5 years behind bars, if convicted.

LAPD Detective Hopkins released the following statement: “One of the biggest problems we have with juvenile cases, is often kids don’t realize they’ve been victims of crimes until years afterward. Either they didn’t know it was wrong or once they do, they feel some troubles about coming forward. The suspect used her position of responsibility to gain these victims’ trust, then began inappropriate se-ual relationships with them. Rather than advising them, she was abusing them.”
