Shreveport police seek contractor wanted for home improvement fraud

Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Perreton Davis, owner of Davis Development & Investments LLC, who is wanted for home improvement fraud.

Authorities said a Shreveport resident hired Davis in April 2025 to remodel a rental property. Payment was made and work began but was never completed. An investigation by the Shreveport-Caddo Financial Crimes Task Force revealed that Davis had no contractor’s license, no home improvement registration, and that his company was not in good standing with the state.

A warrant was issued on March 26, 2026, charging Davis with Home Improvement Fraud under Louisiana law (LA R.S. 14:202.1).

Anyone with information on Davis’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Shreveport Police Department at 318-673-7300 or Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373 to remain anonymous. Police warned that taking payment and failing to complete contracted work carries serious consequences.
