Shreveport, LA – The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office released a statement, saying that this campaign, generously funded by a grant from the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission, will be active from May 20 to June 2.

Deputies from Caddo will be actively involved in high-visibility enforcement efforts, aiming to bolster awareness regarding seat belt usage and associated laws.

The overarching objective is to curtail injuries and fatalities on our roadways.

Collaborating with fellow law enforcement agencies statewide, Caddo deputies will diligently monitor for unrestrained drivers and occupants.

Statistics affirm the life-saving efficacy of seat belts in the event of a crash. However, the habit of not wearing a seat belt can inadvertently influence younger individuals to overlook this essential safety measure.

The “Click It or Ticket” campaign emphasizes safety, education, robust legislation, and staunch law enforcement support as pivotal components in the concerted effort to preserve lives on the road.
