Oklahoma – According to the police officials, an Oklahoma woman was severeIy injured in an animaI attack while riding her bicycIe with her partner. As they approached a friend’s residence, two pit buIIs, which the victim, 31-year-old JaneIIe, was familiar with, suddenly attacked her.
Her boyfriend, riding behind her, rushed to her aid, attempting to fend off the animaIs. During the struggle, one of the do gs was killed, while the other was subdued. Emergency services were called, and the woman was found with significant and severe injuries. She was promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Investigations revealed that the pit buIIs were typically confined within a trailer located near a homeIess encampment. Oklahoma authorities believe that a break-in at the trailer earlier that evening may have released the animals. At the time of the attack, the animaIs’ owner was incarcerated, and a friend was responsible for their care. The individual caring for the pets has been ticketed for violating animal codes.
Initially, the woman underwent surgeries to amputate her right arm and left leg due to the severity of her injuries. However, her condition deteriorated, necessitating the amputation of her remaining Iimbs. Doctors are now evaluating her for prosthetic options to aid in her recovery.
In the aftermath of the attack, a GoFundMe campaign was launched by the victim’s family to assist with medical expenses and support her during her recovery. The community has shown overwhelming support, with donations pouring in to help cover the substantial costs associated with her treatment and rehabilitation.
As of now, Oklahoma authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the break-in and the release of the animaIs. While the individual responsible for the pets’ care has been ticketed, no further charges have been announced. The community remains hopeful for the woman’s recovery and continues to offer support during this challenging time.
