Louisiana – A Louisiana man was arrested following a vioIent domestic incident in Louisiana. The 37-year-old defendant, P. Grene, now faces multiple charges, including domestic abuse battery with chiId endangerment, two counts of aggravated assauIt, and resisting an officer. Additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.

According to Louisiana authorities, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call at the family’s residence in Louisiana. Upon arrival, they discovered a child, 6, with severe Iacerations and stab wounds to the face, neck, and chest. The child, identified as the defendant’s stepchiId, was airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition after undergoing two surgeries.

At the scene, the defendant was reportedly combative with officers, necessitating physical restraint before his arrest. The sheriff’s office noted that the defendants wife, the child’s mother, sustained injuries during the incident, and six other children were present in the home at the time. None of the other children were physically harmed, but they were placed in the custody of family members due to the dangerous circumstances.

Sheriff Gudroz expressed profound sympathy for the family, stating, “Our profound sympathies are with the family and our prayers are for the young child.” The 6-year-old victim was described as suffering brain tumor and identified as suspect’s step-chiId as boy remains in critical condition.

The officials said that the children present during the incident were from previous relationships of the husband and wife living in the home. None of the children were from both husband and wife, intimating that the husband had stabbed his six year old step-chiId.

Louisiana authorities continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the sheriff’s office at 337-948-6516 or Crime Stoppers at 337-948-TIPS. All calls are anonymous, and tips leading to an arrest may result in a cash reward.
