Shreveport, LA – The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office is hosting a Distracted and Impaired Driving Course on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Sheriff’s Safety Town, located at 8910 Jewella Avenue, Shreveport.
This hands-on course aims to help teen and young adult drivers build safe driving habits from the start. Participants will learn about the dangers of distracted and impaired driving, defensive driving techniques, and the risks of multitasking behind the wheel. The program also includes a simulation experience that demonstrates the effects of impairment using special goggles.
The course is open to drivers ages 15 to 25, providing tools to promote safety and alertness on the road.
