Shreveport, LA – The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office will host “Hiding Behind the Mask: The Faces of Bullying” Mardi Gras Masquerade & Sneaker Ball on February 23, 2025, from 1 PM to 4 PM at Sheriff’s Safety Town, located at 8910 Jewella Ave, Shreveport, LA 71118. The event, themed around Mardi Gras, aims to raise awareness about bullying and provide tools for prevention.
The Mardi Gras-inspired event is open to children ages 5 to 13 and will feature music, entertainment, and the opportunity to win various prizes. Refreshments will also be provided throughout the event. Attendees are encouraged to dress creatively, incorporating Mardi Gras colors and their favorite sneakers into their outfits.
The event will also include a meaningful discussion on the impact of bullying and how to address it effectively. This discussion aims to provide both children and parents with valuable insight into preventing and stopping bullying in schools and communities.
