Shreveport, LA – Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation announced plans to host a festive Nature Ornament Workshop as part of the American Rose Center’s annual “Christmas in Roseland” celebration. The event, designed to provide a creative and eco-friendly way to celebrate the holidays, will take place on Saturday, December 21, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the American Rose Center, located at 8877 Jefferson Paige Road in Shreveport, Louisiana. Admission is free and open to the public.
The workshop invites participants of all ages to craft unique ornaments using natural and recycled materials such as pine cones, twigs, and acorns. Guests can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and cookies while soaking in the holiday atmosphere with family and friends at the scenic American Rose Center.
Anne Lutz, education coordinator for Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation, emphasized the importance of connecting with nature during the holidays. “Bringing nature into holiday traditions is a beautiful way to connect with the environment and create meaningful memories,” Lutz said. “We’re thrilled to offer this special event to the community again this year.”
The Nature Ornament Workshop is a drop-in event, allowing attendees to arrive anytime between 1 PM and 4 PM. All necessary materials will be provided free of charge.
