Caddo Sheriff’s deputy honored as Deputy of the Year by Louisiana Sheriff’s Association

Shreveport, LA – Corporal Rick Anderson of the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office was honored as Deputy of the Year by the Louisiana Sheriff’s Association during a ceremony on Tuesday, July 29, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr.

The award recognized Anderson’s outstanding work on a fentanyl-related death investigation involving Martin Thompson, which he pursued through his role in the Narcotics Division and as a Task Force Officer with the Drug Enforcement Administration.

With over 30 years of service, Anderson has built a distinguished career marked by a wide range of casework and advanced law enforcement training.

His dedication, integrity, and commitment to duty were central to the recognition.

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office praised Corporal Anderson for his exceptional work ethic and ongoing contributions to public safety.
