Shreveport, LA – Chief Wayne Smith and his command staff addressed 14 cadets as they began their training with the 93rd Shreveport Police Regional Training Academy class. Over the next four months, these future Shreveport Police officers will undergo rigorous training to prepare for a career in law enforcement.

The academy’s latest class also includes five deputies from the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office, highlighting the Shreveport Police Regional Training Academy’s role as the largest training facility in North Louisiana.

Chief Smith commended the cadets for their courage and commitment, emphasizing the challenges they will face during their training. The academy focuses on instilling the skills and discipline needed for a life of service and dedication to public safety.
