Domestic violence incident in Shreveport results in arrests of married couple

Shreveport, LA – A domestic violence-related stabbing at a residence on Malcolm Street has led to the arrest of two individuals in what police described as a series of escalating violent incidents.

According to a news release from the Shreveport Police Department, the Domestic Violence Unit was contacted around 8:00 a.m. on June 3, 2025, after patrol officers responded to a report of a stabbing involving a married couple, identified as Jerricka Bradley and Tametria Bradley. The couple has multiple children, and officers confirmed that the children were present during both reported incidents.

Detectives revealed that Tametria Bradley had previously been granted a court-issued protective order, with Jerricka Bradley listed as the defendant. In May 2025, Jerricka was arrested for violating that order. Records show Tametria later posted bond for Jerricka, who had been residing in the home since then.

The most recent events began around 5:00 p.m. on June 2, when Tametria reported being stabbed in the right hand with a pair of scissors during an argument. She claimed that Jerricka was responsible for the injury. Then, at approximately 2:00 a.m. on June 3, officers were again called to the home after Jerricka sustained a laceration to her left ear.

Following interviews and an investigation, police determined that Tametria had initiated the first altercation while armed with scissors and that Jerricka sustained minor scratches before disarming her. Hours later, Tametria allegedly returned home intoxicated and armed with a screwdriver. Another confrontation occurred, during which Tametria reportedly stabbed Jerricka in the side of the head. Jerricka did not immediately realize she had been injured until noticing significant bleeding. According to police, the couple’s 10-year-old son ran to a neighbor’s house for help after Jerricka lost consciousness from blood loss. Tametria was found hiding under a pile of laundry when officers arrived.

As a result of the investigation:

  • Tametria Bradley was arrested for Domestic Abuse Battery Committed with a Dangerous Weapon and Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment (six counts, covering both reported incidents).

  • Jerricka Bradley was arrested for Violation of Protective Orders.

The Shreveport Police Department is urging the public not to be silent about domestic violence and encourages individuals experiencing abuse to seek help and support.
