Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced a $5.2 million construction project set to begin Monday, January 6, 2025, on La. 3277 (George Soileau Road) in Evangeline Parish. The project spans 4.9 miles from La. 757 to La. 104.
Work will include milling asphaltic concrete, subgrade treatment, in-place base rehabilitation, patching, asphalt overlay, drainage structure replacements, guard rail installation, rumble strips, and striping. Construction is scheduled to occur Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Drivers should anticipate intermittent lane closures and potential delays. The roadway will remain open to traffic, with a 12-foot lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the area. Emergency vehicles will have access but may also experience delays.
The project is expected to be completed by August 2025.
