DOTD announces one-day bridge closure on US 167 in Pineville for maintenance

Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises motorists that the US 167 (Pineville Expressway) southbound bridge over Wadley Street, railroad tracks, and 4th Street in Pineville, Rapides Parish, will be closed on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The closure is necessary for DOTD crews to perform bridge maintenance. The bridge is located about 0.82 miles north of the Red River.

Motorists should use LA 1250/Melrose Street. Signage will guide drivers along the detour route.

DOTD thanks the public for their patience and reminds everyone to drive cautiously around construction areas and watch for work crews and equipment.
