Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced that crews will begin overlaying the approaches for four bridges north of the village of Calvin on LA 1232, starting Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
The bridges scheduled for work include LA 1232 over unnamed creek, Little Creek, another unnamed creek, and Kyiaies Creek.
Work will start 3.1 miles east of the intersection of LA 1232 and LA 501 and continue east for 1.5 miles. Crews will begin at the easternmost bridge and move westward, completing one bridge per day.
Each bridge site will be closed in the morning and reopened by the end of the day. Scheduled work dates are Wednesday, August 27, Friday, August 29, Tuesday, September 2, and Wednesday, September 3. On days without scheduled work, all four bridges will remain open to traffic.
DOTD provided detour information for drivers. Eastbound traffic will use LA 501 south to LA 156 east, while westbound traffic will follow LA 156 west to LA 501 north.
Officials encouraged drivers to plan accordingly and observe posted detours for safety during the construction period.
