Louisiana – In response to a tragic terrorist attack on Bourbon Street, Governor Jeff Landry declared a State of Emergency in Orleans Parish.
This action mobilizes all available state resources to ensure safety ahead of upcoming major events, including the Sugar Bowl, Super Bowl LIX, and Mardi Gras.
Governor Landry emphasized his commitment to addressing threats to public safety, stating, “We will not allow heinous acts of crime to dampen the Louisiana spirit and ruin our way of life.
This state of emergency is a necessity to ensure New Orleans is the safest city in the world.”
