Shreveport, LA – Following a recent homicide and a separate shooting that left two juveniles injured, the Shreveport Police Department and the Shreveport City Marshal’s Office carried out a coordinated operation at the Lifestyle Apartments in the 4200 block of Lakeshore Drive. The effort resulted in the arrest of nine individuals on a range of criminal charges.

According to authorities, the majority of those arrested were not residents of the complex and were not listed on any lease. The operation was part of a broader response to escalating violence in the area, aimed at restoring safety and order.

Jason Harris was taken into custody for narcotics possession, illegal carrying of a weapon in connection with narcotics, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Joycelyn Johnson was arrested on outstanding traffic warrants. Zohuri Edwards was charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute, and also had an active warrant from Caddo Parish.

Micheal Casey, Sharon Coleman, and Vincent Hendricks were each arrested on various traffic warrants. James Merrit was taken into custody for illegal use of a weapon and resisting an officer.

Demond Wilson was charged with negligent carrying of a weapon, and Derrick McCracken was arrested for marijuana possession.

Police credited the success of the operation to strong collaboration with the Shreveport City Marshal’s Office. Officials say joint efforts like this one are crucial to improving neighborhood safety and reducing criminal activity.
