Shreveport, LA — A woman is facing felony property damage charges after allegedly vandalizing a vehicle in what authorities describe as a domestic dispute involving a shared romantic partner.
According to the Shreveport Police Department, the incident occurred in the 1600 block of Corporate Drive and was captured on surveillance footage. Investigators identified the suspect as MelRidney Robinson.
Robinson is accused of slashing all four tires of the vehicle, breaking both side mirrors, shattering the windshield, and pouring chocolate syrup throughout the interior. Additionally, police allege she poured sugar into the vehicle’s gas tank, causing further damage.
The motive behind the incident, according to authorities, appears to be a conflict related to a mutual romantic relationship. Police did not disclose the identity of the vehicle’s owner or whether any prior incidents between the involved parties had been reported.
Following an investigation, Robinson was taken into custody and charged with felony property damage. The extent of the monetary loss is still being assessed.
The case remains under investigation, and no further details have been released at this time.
