Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced a $2.6 million project to repair a section of LA 515 north of Coushatta in Red River Parish.
Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, February 24, 2025, weather permitting.
The project will cover six miles of roadway improvements on LA 515, stretching from US 71 to LA 514. It includes full-depth patching, milling to remove old asphalt, and a new asphalt overlay through the New Hope and Crichton communities. Full-depth patching will address damaged portions of the roadway all the way to the base, strengthening the road and extending its overall service life.
After full-depth patching, milling will remove the old asphalt, followed by the application of new layers of asphalt. Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures as the contractor performs the necessary construction work.
The project is expected to be completed in Fall 2025, depending on weather conditions and other factors that could impact the construction timeline.
